Details: Sodexo Campus Services has an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Retail Manager 2 at the University of Denver in beautiful Denver, Colorado. Situated on a 125 tree-shaded acres and the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, this large college campus of over 10,000 students offers food options in two dining halls and ten retail food outlets. The Food Service Retail Manager will oversee three retail food concepts - Sidelines Pub, Jazzman's, and Law School Café - along with a staff of 25 frontline employees. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to drive the business through outstanding customer service and food quality. Being a self-starter and possessing exceptional leadership skills, along with strong interpersonal skills are essential in order to motivate and lead a team, as well as interact with customers and all levels of management. Must exhibit strong financial acumen to ensure cost effective operations to include labor management, food costs, and inventory control. Previous experience in Chain Restaurant Retail or College/University retail food management, along with culinary operations experience preferred. Bilingual in the Spanish language a plus.Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions.
