Food Production Manager

Details: Sodexo is seeking a Food Production Manager 3 at Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This position is the next step up for the food service management professional with a background in high volume food production and a passion for managing systems and standards. This position reports directly to Executive Chef.Establishes a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance , by ensuring compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs. Ensure licenses and certification are current for all staff and compliance with all federal, state and local regulation.Responsible for daily and weekly production sheets and post production counts. In conjunction with Executive Chef, prepares weekly and monthly finances including Labor Management, weekly accounts payables and monthly inventory. Supports General Manager with client retention by maintaining and developing client relationships and client satisfaction for all aspects of food production. Manages the budget by controlling costs (e.g.labor, inventory, equipment, and materials), complying with budget requirements and making adjustments when necessary. Culinary Background and Strong Computer Skills required.This is a year round position with a varied schedule that may include some weekend and holiday management coverage Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus.Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree Basic Management Experience - 1 year Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/M/F/D/V employer.
